This finely crafted block plane is designed for general purpose soothing and shaping, paring end grain, cleaning up components by removing thin shavings in order to make a component fit within tight tolerances, chamfering and cleaning up glue lines.

The V2 plane comes with a finer thread on the adjustment rod, giving more precise control over the blade adjusment and depth of cut. The mechanism reduces potential for lateral movement during the adjustment.

The Luban Block plane sits firmly in the palm and is a delight to use.

Minimal final honing is required prior to use.
