Welcome and thanks for visiting finetools.com.au (the ‘Site’).

Please read over the details of the terms provided carefully. By accessing or using this website, you are acknowledging to the finetools.com.au parent company that you have read, understood and agree to without limitation or qualification these terms and conditions.

Your use of the Site subsequently indicates your acceptance to these terms, as they exist at the time. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions of this Site, please do not access or continue to use this Site, “finetools.com.au”.

These may be updated regularly by Finetools without notice to you. These terms and conditions govern your access to, and use of the Finetools website, located at www.finetools.com.au. finetools.com.au is owned and operated by Artesan Pty Ltd, ABN 19 169 909 166.

Warranty

We pride ourselves on quality and delivering a premium product to you, by sourcing products with a reputation for durability and reliability so we are sorry if you receive one that's not up to scratch.

Finetools warrants all products sold to be free of defects in material or workmanship for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase. Note that we do not offer warranty return on items that are damaged by incorrect usage. If the product listing does not specifically state an item is suitable for a particular use or purpose, please contact us on info @ finetools . com . au and let us know what your intended use is and we'll advise if the product is suitable.

If you're wanting to return an item with an issue, please email service @ finetools . com . au with details and pictures of the issue and we'll come back to you with details.

Returns

We’re pretty stringent with selecting quality products and packaging them well for delivery, but occasionally something might slip through the cracks or be damaged in transit. If your product is faulty, or we sent you an incorrect order by mistake, send it back to us within 60 days of delivery for a full refund (including shipping*). Please contact customer care here, so we can get you sorted.

We do charge a restocking fee to cover the original postage paid if the goods included free shipping, and a restocking fee in the event goods have been opened and are not in new saleable condition.

If you’ve changed your mind (it happens!), or wish to return an unwanted gift, we will still refund your purchase if returned within 60 days, but the return shipping isn’t covered and refunds will be sent to the original purchaser’s method of payment.

All items must be returned in original unopened condition and in the original, undamaged packaging. Remember, all our products come with a 5 year warranty, so if something goes awry down the track, be sure to let our service team know via the customer care page here.

*If you are eligible, we’ll send details on how to return with shipping refund.

Exchanges

If you change your mind, or want to swap a gift for something else, exchange requests can be submitted to service @ finetools . com . au within 60 days of purchase.

Please return your item in original unopened condition, and in the original undamaged packaging. We recommend using regular post – take a photo of your returning package with the postage receipt visible so we can ship your preferred product without delay.

If you made an error when purchasing online, and it’s still within a few hours of placing your order, contact our customer care team right away and we should be able to adjust your order before it leaves our hands. We like to reduce unnecessary shipping (and save you unnecessary costs) where possible.

Shipping and Delivery

We ship to all parts of Australia and New Zealand via Australia Post regular parcel post. Shipping rates are outlined during checkout including express option if required, and you can also view the shipping rates here.

We’re happy to negotiate shipping for bulk orders via courier service, just contact us in advance via the customer care page here for a quote.

One of our personal pet gripes when buying online is poor packaging. Finetools is committed to packing your purchases to a high standard, ensuring they arrive in your hands safely and undamaged. If you receive items that are damaged in transit, please let us know via the customer care page here.

Please ensure that the delivery address and recipient details listed in your order are accurate and complete. finetools.com.au will not accept responsibility for late delivery, or non-delivery due to incomplete or incorrect details being provided.

Finetools is committed to providing quality products at an affordable price. We are an online only business at this stage and the quickest form of communication is to shoot us an email or use our enquiry page located here. Because we gather certain types of information to process orders, we want you to understand the terms and conditions surrounding the capture and use of that information.

All personal information collected on finetools.com.au is transmitted over an industry standard 128 bit secure SSL connection using our bank, and never passed on to third parties.

The Information we collect

In general, you can browse our Web site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself.

When ordering products on our web site, you may be asked to provide a credit card number. Depending upon the activity, some of the information we ask you to provide is identified as mandatory and some as voluntary.

If you do not provide the mandatory data with respect to a particular activity, you will not be able to engage in that activity.

How we use the information

Our delivery partners use your address for delivery, but will not pass them on to any third parties. We do not pass on, sell or swap any of your personal details with anyone else. We use this information to identify your orders, provide you with Finetools updates (if requested) and to personalise your shopping experience with us.

Google Analytics

We’re currently using Google Analytics to gather information for site improvement. You can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads using the Ads Settings here – https://www.google.com/settings/ads.

Credit Cards

Credit card details are securely collected at the time of payment for the sole purpose of transmitting to the banks for processing. No credit card information is ever physically stored in Finetools’s database. We use Pay Pal for all transactions. More information on Pay Pal’s Legal Agreements can be found at Pay Pal.

We are committed to the Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 – available at: http://www.privacy.gov.au/publications/ipps.html.

Transactions & Currency

All of our orders at finetools.com.au are processed in Australian Dollars (AUD). These orders include GST (Goods ad Services Tax).

Prices indicated on finetools.com.au exclude handling and delivery charges. Handling and delivery charges will be calculated once you have selected your preferred delivery options and will be displayed on-screen for you at the checkout. Our Shipping rates are indicated on our shipping page here.

finetools.com.au reserves the right to change or alter prices of Products without notice. The price payable by you for a Product shall be the price applicable on the date the Products are confirmed as ordered by you.

Artesan Pty Ltd, and by extension finetools.com.au, does not extend credit to any retail customers and orders will be charged in full at the time an order is placed.

Finetools are here to help if you have any issues and we will do our best to facilitate any reasonable requests. If you have received a partial delivery and initiate any actions that result in a payment provider or gateway, for example a bank or Paypal, to chargeback, remove, hold or freeze funds for items already received, we will consider payment for the received goods as due and issue an invoice due for payment in 7 days. Failure to pay within 7 days may result in further action being taken including reporting non-payment to a credit reporting agency.

Product Availability

All Products displayed on the Site have been included in good faith on the basis that the Products as described will be available at the time of sale.

If a Product is not in stock at the time of your order, you will be notified of this by email, and advised of the expected shipment date. Refunds will be issued promptly on request should the waiting time exceed your expectations.

Your order will be fulfilled by finetools.com.au once new Product stock is received. You may at any time prior to shipment, cancel an order for a backordered item.

The contents of our Site, and the Site as a whole, are intended solely for personal, non-commercial (other than for the purchase of merchandise from our Site) use by the users of our Site.

The Website and the information contained in reference herein are for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may download or copy the Contents and other downloadable materials displayed on the Site for your personal use only. No right, title or interest in any downloaded materials is transferred to you as a result of any such downloading or copying.
