The wooden Smoothing Plane has a blade with a chipbreaker and is used for fine smoothening or finishing surfaces. The bed angle is 49 degrees. The chipbreaker breaks chips from the planed material and removes them away from the planed surface. The plane is used for the smoothing of both hard wood and veneer surfaces.

Whereas the Jack Plane is used for the finishing of soft wood (the blade with the chipbreaker of the Smoothing Plane is inserted at a steep angle to the planed material).

The sole is made of high quality solid hornbeam, the body is made of high quality solidbeech, both are dried down to 10 % moisture content. In the production of the Smoothing Plane PREMIUM, special attention is given to the quality of processing, ergonomics and comfortable handling.

The Smoothing Plane PREMIUM is therefore ideal for extended periods of working hours. The Smoothing Plane PREMIUM features adjusta- ble blade mechanism allowing quick and accurate blade setting, which is ideal for beginners. We supply variant P/S with blade STANDARD, variant P/P with blade PROFI.
