Pinie Smoothing Plane Classic

The wooden Smoothing Plane has a blade with a chipbreaker and is used for fine smoothing or finishing surfaces. The bed angle is 49 degrees. The chipbreaker breaks chips from the planed material and removes them away from the planed surface.

The plane is used for the smoo- thening of both hard wood and veneer surfaces. Whereas the Jack Plane is used for the fi- nishing of soft wood (the blade with the chipbreaker of the Smoothing Plane is inserted at a steep angle to the planed material).

The sole is made of high quality solid hornbeam, the body is made of high quality solid beech, both are dried down to 10 % moisture content.

In the pro- duction of CLASSIC planes, special attention is given to the quality of processing, ergonomics and comfortable handling. We supply variant C/S with blade STANDARD, variant C/P with bla- de PROFI.
