This finely crafted bronze cast block plane, also known as an apron plane, is designed for general purpose smoothing and shaping, paring end grain, cleaning up components by removing thin shavings in order to make a component fit within tight tolerances, chamfering and cleaning up glue lines.

The Luban 102 Bronze Block plane is a compact little unit in a traditional coffin shaped design for snug use with one hand and comes with a blade bedded at 12 degrees.

The Luban brand is manufactured by the Qiangsheng Tool Co., sometimes spelt Quangsheng who are well known for producing high quality tools.

Minimal final honing is required prior to use.
